My Services
Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy for adolescents and adults struggling with various mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and many others.
Couples Therapy
I offer support to couples who are struggling to create a deeper connection and maintain a healthy relationship. I utilize a type of therapy called Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). This approach combines the sciences of adult attachment and relationship bonds to gain a better understanding of yourself and the significant relationships in your life.
Supervision
If you’re a limited licensed professional counselor, looking for a supervisor, please reach out. I’d be happy to have a conversation about whether I might be a good fit to provide supervision services to you.
My Specialties
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a body-based approach that helps us understand and work with the ways stress and trauma are held and experienced in the nervous system. Rather than focusing solely on thoughts and emotions, somatic therapy brings awareness to physical sensations, emotions, impulses, and patterns of activation in the body. By gently developing greater awareness and capacity to regulate the nervous system, we can begin to feel more grounded, present, and connected to ourselves.
Somatic Experiencing®
Emotionally Focused Therapy
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a research-supported approach that focuses on the emotional bonds and attachment needs at the heart of our most important relationships. EFT helps us understand the patterns that develop between people and the cycles that can leave partners feeling disconnected, misunderstood, or stuck. By slowing these cycles down and developing a deeper understanding of the emotions and needs underneath them, couples can create greater security, connection, and responsiveness in their relationships. EFT can also be used with individuals to better understand relationship patterns and develop a more secure relationship with themselves and others.
Eating Disorders
There is often a lot of shame and secrecy surrounding an eating disorder. Maybe you feel alone and misunderstood, or find that food, body image, or eating-related thoughts and behaviors consume much of your day. Eating disorders can gradually take up more and more space in a person’s life, affecting relationships, emotions, and connection with themselves. Recovery can be a difficult and painful process, but it is possible. You don't have to navigate it alone, and I’m here to help.
